Research
In 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that about 1 in 68 children have autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD is the fastest growing developmental disability. The CDC now considers ASD to be an important national public health concern.
An international community of researchers is working to identify the causes of ASD, to promote early identification, and to identify evidence-based intervention strategies that can improve the quality of life for people with ASD and their families.
